Victoria Rivera, LCSW – Psychotherapist in NYC

We all know what to do to take care of ourselves however we continue to make decisions in our lives that sabotage our goals. Why is this? I help people to understand the why. Utilizing a mindfulness approach, I work with patients on identifying the challenges for them consciously and unconsciously, helping them to gain awareness into the “why.”

After helping you to gain a general understanding of your current problems and symptoms, we shift the dynamics of treatment, working on underlying self esteem/self worth issues that are affecting your life.

About My NYC Therapy Practice

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years experience working with varied populations suffering with mental health and life issues. I completed post graduate training at NYU Institute for Psychoanalytic Education in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I continue to study mindfulness based stress reduction and am in the process of attaining a certification in functional nutritional health coaching.
