Holistic psychotherapy views each person as a whole being, allowing the space and opportunity to gain awareness of the connections between your emotions, thoughts, physical experiences, and spiritual understandings. As a holistic psychotherapist in NYC, I can help individuals realize how each of these components work together in harmony to support your daily routines and goals. This deeper understanding of the whole self often results in greater self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-acceptance.

Holistic therapy does not work to eliminate symptoms. Instead, this therapy method views symptoms as one way a person’s consciousness can bring attention to a person’s higher awareness.

My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

Mental well-being can be improved and enhanced by an array of natural, holistic modalities that range from meditation to art therapy. The holistic model supports the idea that the body chemistry, spirituality, diet, nutrition and other factor in a number of ways. Our therapist demonstrate a willingness to explore methods outside the box of traditional talk therapy by asking the right question to help identify the best coarse of treatment.

An analogy of how this works: Ideally, we want a varied menu at a restaurant because it gives us more choices. Similarly, if we have a longer internal menu of perceptions, experiences, and the like, we end up with greater choices in life.

In order to develop awareness through holistic therapy, I work less to help you achieve changes and more to help you accept the present moment—​who you are and where you are. Holistic therapies offer support as you work to accept what is going on within yourself. Once acceptance is achieved, you may find it easier to let go of your mental resistance. The result is a greater sense of relaxation and the ability to easily release any fears. Acceptance and relaxation are important components of this therapy.
We will utilize exercises designed to intervene on three levels: the body, the emotions, and the mind/soul. Initial exercises in holistic therapy often utilize massage and bodywork techniques to focus a person’s attention on areas of tension in the body. These areas of tension are believed to be manifestations of deeply repressed emotions. Once a level of trust is established, we can work toward release tension in the mind and emotions. This release often allows the person to be more receptive to new emotions and experiences.
